How PortalBunny differs from creator databases and marketplaces.
We reviewed 41 creator platforms in September 2026. This page compares product mechanics only — what each type of product does, taken from their own public pages.
PortalBunny is pre-launch. Its column describes what is planned, not what is live.
Checked September 2026.
How a deal works, step by step, is on How it works.
Three kinds of product.
Creator databases — tools like Modash, Traackr and Heepsy. In the tools we reviewed, creators are listed from public social data and do not create the entry themselves. The deal, if any, happens outside the tool.
Creator marketplaces — platforms like Collabstr, Passionfroot, TRIBE, Billo and Insense. They support creator–brand bookings, with different payment models. In our comparison (September 2026), the closest of them match about half of PortalBunny’s planned feature set.
PortalBunny — a marketplace for fixed-price work where both sides have a profile, the buyer pays first, the seller keeps 100% of the price, and a completed deal leaves a record on both profiles.
Five mechanics.
| Creator databases | Creator marketplaces | PortalBunny (planned) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creator has a profile they own | Not in the tools reviewed. Creators are listed from public data and do not create the entry themselves. | Yes. | Yes — built from accounts the creator connects. |
| Buyer has a public profile | Not in the tools reviewed. | Rare in the marketplaces reviewed. The brand is usually shown as “Brand” or hidden. | Yes — a company or a person, with the same kind of record. |
| The deal happens on the platform | Not in the tools reviewed. The deal, if any, happens outside the tool. | Yes. | Yes — fixed price, the buyer pays first. |
| Who pays the fee | Usually the brand pays for access or analytics. There is no deal fee. | Often the creator (Collabstr 15%, JoinBrands 15–20%); some charge the buyer instead. | The buyer, on top of the price. The seller keeps 100%. |
| Record of completed deals | Not in the tools reviewed. | Creator reviews, sometimes. A public buyer record written from completed deals — we did not find one in the platforms we reviewed. | On both sides, written only from completed paid deals. Amounts never public. No stars, no scores. |

What we do not claim.
We do not claim exclusivity, superiority or greater safety. Freelance marketplaces such as Upwork have shown client reviews for years.
What we did not find in creator platforms is a public buyer record written from settled deals. That is the gap PortalBunny is built for.
